However, there is another aspect you need to consider – an eternal aspect. How will you glorify God through this special day?

Christian Baby Shower Theme Ideas
Well, Ms. Hostess…It is planning time! One of the very first steps in planning a Christian baby shower is deciding on the perfect theme. You want to decide on something that goes with the heart and personality of the momma-to-be.
Here are a few faith-based themes to pick from. I have also added in a few ideas to help you develop your theme into a full-blown, God-glorifying party!

3. Salt & Light
Theme Scripture:
“You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, what will it be salted with? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cant be hid. Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a bushel basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. After choosing your theme, you can move on to planning your shower games and activities. As you read through these ideas below, think about how you can incorporate your theme into the different games and activities!
1. Babies of the Bible
Everybody loves a good trivia game. This fast, fun game contains ten questions about different babies in the Bible. Get ready to test everyone’s bible babies knowledge!
2. You Write the Hymn
This game sounds like so much fun! Divide your group into 3-4 teams. Each team gets assigned one well-known Christian children’s song. They take their assigned song and rewrite the lyrics, making the song about the momma-to-be and her sweet baby. You name how long the team gets to create their lyrical masterpiece. Afterwards, they all take turns singing their songs to the momma-to-be.

3. Meaningful Verse
Instead of a guestbook, get the momma-to-be a new Bible. Pass the Bible around and have all of the guests underline their favorite verse of encouragement to help get their expectant friend through the highs and lows of motherhood.

Christian Baby Shower Songs
One aspect of planning a Christian baby shower that may be overlooked is the music. Having a rock-solid playlist is sure to set a fun, relaxing mood. Playing worship music in the background will also help guests to stay focused on the Lord throughout the event. It’s a win-win! I have picked out a few different types of songs and given ideas on how to use them.
Lullaby by JJ Heller
The lyrics of this song are short and sweet. JJ Heller writes a precious lullaby that any momma-to-be would love to learn. It is a great song to play in the background during a prayer time over the momma-to-be and her baby.

How to Include Bible Verses into a Baby Shower
Songs are great, but God’s Word is even better. His Word is what brings life to our weary souls and continually reminds us of God’s goodness! Sweet friend, there are so many ways that you can incorporate Scripture into a Christian baby shower.

How to Use This Scripture in a Devotional:
This passage talks about the importance of keeping Christ at the center of the home. Use these verses to write a devotional encouraging the baby shower attendees to build their homes on the Truth found in Scripture. Incorporate other passages, such as Matthew 7, that discuss Christ being a firm foundation.

Using This Scripture for Décor:
This shop on Etsy has a super cute farmhouse style frame featuring Psalm 127:1. The style is pretty adaptable to most party themes. One great idea would be to use the frame as décor and give it away as a door prize at the end of the shower!

How to Use This Scripture in a Devotional:
This passage could be used to specifically encourage that mom-to-be and other moms in attendance. It is take from a passage of Scripture that discusses what the heart of a true woman of God looks like. Encourage those at the shower to be a woman who fears God first and foremost.
Using This Scripture for Décor:

Devotionals for Baby Shower
Something that you don’t often see in a Christian baby shower is a devotional time. Why not?! It only makes sense to have a specific time of encouragement for the momma-to-be and her guests.
Well, friend, if you are anything like me, public speaking may not be your forte. Thankfully, there are a lot of great baby shower devotionals already out there – ready for you to make your own and share with others! Check out these devotionals below, you can easily adapt them to fit your chosen theme.
Loving God, Loving Your Child
Share encouragement directly from God’s Word. This devotional speaks on the importance of loving God first and foremost, so that we can pour His love into our children.

3 Tips for Hosting a Christian Baby Shower
We have covered so much, it can get a little overwhelming. To make it simple, I have a few tips to leave you with as you plan a Christian baby shower.
1. Plan Ahead
Don’t wait until the last minute to get plans in order. Start planning things as soon as you are asked. Make a calendar with “due dates” on them to keep you on track.
2. Have Fun & Make it Fun
Being a Christian baby shower host is ultimately about hospitality. Show yourself grace in letting go of things that may not go as you planned. Your goal for the day is to create a fun, uplifting environment for your momma-to-be and guests. Make it fun. Make it about Jesus.
3. Recruit Help
Even though you’ve been asked to host a Christian baby shower, you don’t have to do it alone. Recruit some help. Delegate some tasks. It’s not all on you, sister.
